PDF redaction tool
Blivion is a browser-based PDF redaction tool for sensitive documents. Mark visible content for true redaction, clean supported PDF metadata, and export a safer PDF with a verification report before sharing.
Workflow
The goal is not to draw a black box. The goal is to create an exported PDF where the sensitive content is removed or safely flattened.
Choose a PDF from your device. Blivion renders the pages in your browser so the default workflow does not require an upload.
Draw redaction boxes over text, IDs, faces, images, or document sections that need to be removed from the exported file.
For safely mapped rectangular redactions, Blivion attempts native PDF preservation and verifies the result before offering the download.
When a PDF cannot be preserved safely, Blivion rebuilds a flattened visual PDF so the reviewed page appearance is baked into the output.
Why Blivion
Native PDF redaction is useful only when the output can be verified. Blivion makes that tradeoff visible instead of silently preserving risky PDF structures.
Searchable structure can stay intact for supported rectangular redactions only when Blivion can verify the native export.
PDF exports run through the selected clean profile, checking document info plus supported hidden structures before download.
The editor shows what was removed, what was verified, whether native structure was preserved, and when fallback flattening was used.
Limits
Blur and pixelate are visual obfuscation, not safe PDF redaction.
Complex PDFs, brush marks, unusual geometry, and unsupported internals may require the flattened visual fallback.
No tool can remove sensitive information that is still visibly present on the exported page.
